Grade 1 – Notes & Rests

Grade 1 music theory introduces the fundamentals of music.

The following video details and explains each of the note lengths which may appear in a grade 1 exam:

• Semiquavers (sixteenth notes)
• Quavers (eighth notes)
• Crotchets (quarter notes)
• Minims (half notes)
• Semibreves (whole notes)
